Chesterfield suburbs — clay, oak, and family swim loads.
Midlothian yards are the dense Care geography of Chesterfield: family swim, oak canopy, and clay that holds water against the deck. The pad is usually accessible. The chemistry has to keep up with the kids, not a vacant second home.
Pollen in April, heavy use in June, leaf nets in October. Open and close belong in the same conversation as the swim season.

Richmond / Central context
Chemistry and winterization follow inland nights, not coastal humidity. Clay and drainage show up on the pad as much as in the yard.
Hotter stretches in July. Earlier frost than the oceanfront. Oak leaf load in the West End and Midlothian corridors.
