How Tidewater handles communications
October 4, 2026
Who this page covers
Tidewater takes care of pools in Virginia. The pool may be gunite, shotcrete, vinyl, fiberglass, or another build. This page is about the messages that come with that work.
A message may be a phone call, an email, a text you asked to receive, or a form on www.tidewaterpools.com. A form may be about a new pool, a renovation, a service visit, Tidewater Care, or care for the season.
This page does not set a price. It does not take the place of a contract for a pool or for Tidewater Care.
What we collect when you contact us
We collect what you choose to send.
That is usually your name, your phone number, your email address, the address of the house, and the note you wrote. A conversation about a new pool may also include how you want to use the pool and the season you want to swim. A care conversation may include the equipment on the pad and who built the pool.
These forms do not ask for a payment card or a government identification number.
If you call 757-703-0757, we receive the number you called from and what you tell us on the call.
How we use it
We use it to answer you.
That can mean setting a time to talk about a new pool, looking at a renovation, answering a care question, or scheduling care for the season. We keep a record of what was said so the next person at Tidewater does not start over.
We do not use a request to send unrelated promotions. We do not sell this information.
Who else may see it
People at Tidewater who need the message may see it.
A company that delivers or stores the message may see it only for that purpose. That can include email, the host of www.tidewaterpools.com, or a scheduling tool.
We do not sell contact information from these forms. We do not share it so another company can advertise to you.
When someone is scheduled to do work you asked for, that person may receive a name, a phone number, and the address of the house. That is so the work can happen. It is not a sale of a list.
Texts and email
You can ask about a new pool, a renovation, or Tidewater Care without agreeing to marketing texts.
If you ask us to text you, the texts stay with that request and the work that follows. Reply STOP to end them. You can also call 757-703-0757 or email michael@tidewaterpools.com and ask us to stop.
Email about a visit or an open job is part of that work. You can ask us to stop other email at the same address. We will still send a message the work needs, such as a visit time.
Your carrier may charge for texts. Tidewater does not set those rates.
How long we keep it
We keep a message, a form, or a call note while the inquiry is open, while the pool is in design or construction, or while Tidewater Care is active. We keep it for a reasonable time after that so we can answer a later question about the same pool. After you ask us to stop, we do not keep you on a promotion list.
Your requests
You may ask what contact information we hold from your messages. You may ask us to correct it. You may ask us to delete it when we no longer need it for the work you requested.
Write to michael@tidewaterpools.com or call 757-703-0757. We reply to the address or number you used.
Children
We do not knowingly collect contact information from a child through these forms. A parent or guardian should send the inquiry.
Security
Access to these messages is limited to people who need them for the work. No way of sending a message is perfectly secure. Do not put a payment card number or a government identification number in a form or an email.
Changes
When this page changes, the new version is posted at www.tidewaterpools.com with a new date. A change does not reopen a closed inquiry.
