Opening, closing, and winter
Pool opening
The opening is the pool only. We take the cover off, clear the debris, start the equipment, balance the water, clean the filter, and inspect the equipment so the pool is ready for pollen season.
Why it matters
A pool that sat all winter does not start clean because the weather turned warm. Opening in this order keeps a winter of debris out of the system and gives you a season that starts ready to swim.
What the visit includes
- We remove debris from the cover before that debris goes into the water.
- We start the equipment and confirm that water is moving.
- We test the water before we add anything, then bring it back into range.
- We clean the filter.
- We inspect the equipment and leave notes and photos.
- We do not open a spa that has its own equipment, and we do not open a water feature, as part of this visit.
When to ask for it
Signature and Estate include one pool opening each year. Essential can add it. Tell us if the cover took on water, or if the leaves are already dropping. A spa on its own system, and any water feature, are booked on their own.

Pool closing and winterizing
Water left in unprotected lines and equipment can split them in a hard freeze. A close done on purpose is what makes spring an opening, not a repair.
Winter watch
A cover that fills with water, or a problem that starts in January, should be caught in winter. Waiting until spring turns a small check into a longer opening.
Opening and closing only
Some owners want to handle the weeks they swim, and still want a technician for the two jobs that set up the season and protect the pool through winter.
