A Leak Concern — The First Honest Steps

Evaporation is real. So are leaks. Isolate equipment-side from structure-side before anyone talks about opening a deck.

Unexplained water loss is worth a calm look. It is not worth a week of panic or a rushed structural story.

First, measure

Mark the waterline. Watch it with the pump off and any auto-fill off. Hot, windy, uncovered weeks lose water. A steady drop still happening when the pool is quiet is a different fact.

Then, isolate

Equipment-side and structure-side are not the same repair. We look at the pad — unions, valves, the filter, the heater — before anyone talks about a liner, a skimmer throat, or a deck. Wet clay around a Chesterfield deck is a clue. It is not a conclusion.

What Care includes

If water loss is on your mind, say so when you inquire. That starts a Care conversation. We do not diagnose it from a note, and we do not jump to a structural story. We will say when a dye test or a specialist is the next honest step — and when it is not.

Do not keep filling and hoping. Inquire about service with how far the water dropped and over how many days.
