Pool service in Fredericksburg, VA: Tidewater Care, built for your swim season.
Fredericksburg sits where the Rappahannock River crosses the fall line, with Old Town's brick sidewalks on one side and older neighborhoods under big trees on the other. Pools here pick up leaves and pollen from mature oaks and maples, and a hard freeze can reach equipment that was not closed on purpose. Tidewater Care looks after your pool's water and equipment so it is ready when you want to swim. Every technician is a Certified Pool & Spa Operator (CPO), and we leave notes and photos after each visit. Essential, Signature, and Estate Care are matched to how you use the pool.
Why Tidewater Care in Fredericksburg
Tidewater Care is based in Virginia Beach and takes care of pools in Fredericksburg, Stafford, and Spotsylvania. In the city, many yards are smaller and shaded. Old Town, Fall Hill, Idlewild, and the streets around the university all have mature trees. A small pool under heavy leaf cover can turn green after a storm. That makes the skimmers, the filter, and the water level worth a careful look on every visit. We test the water before we change anything, check the equipment, and write down what we saw, so you are never guessing what happened between visits. If a pool needs something, we say so plainly. We take pools in Fredericksburg when we can keep a regular visit schedule, and we will tell you plainly whether we can. That written record is useful when the weather turns, and when you are deciding whether to change your Care level.
Service details
A Care visit. We look over the pool, test the water, check the equipment, and do the cleaning for your Care level. On Essential Care we skim, brush, and test; vacuuming is not part of Essential Care. Signature and Estate Care vacuum on every visit, and Signature includes the yearly inspection, one opening, one closing, and one filter deep-clean.
Estate Care. Estate Care is weekly and adds an expanded annual inspection, two filter deep-cleans, trend notes, in-house leak dye tests, storm check-ins, and freeze-night checks. A spa that shares the pool equipment is part of the opening and closing.
Opening, closing, and winter watch visits. In spring we clear the debris, start the equipment, balance the water, and inspect the equipment. In fall we set the winter water level and chemistry and protect the equipment from a freeze. Winter watch visits check the cover, the water under it, and the equipment. Winter watch visits are an add-on for any Care level and are not part of Estate Care.
Opening and closing only. Some Fredericksburg owners want to handle the weeks they swim and still want a technician for the two jobs that set up the season and protect the pool through winter. We offer opening and closing on their own.
FAQs
Can I book only the opening and closing for my Fredericksburg pool?
Yes. We open the pool in spring and close it in the fall, with no weekly visits in between. Many owners choose this when they want to handle the swim weeks themselves.
How does shade and tree cover change pool care in Fredericksburg?
Heavy tree cover sends leaves, blossoms, and pollen into the water, and covers collect them in the off-season. We look at the skimmers and the filter on every visit and check the cover and the water level under it on winter watch visits.
