Pool service in Stafford, VA: Tidewater Care, built for your swim season.
Stafford pools sit among hardwood streets, Aquia Creek and the Rappahannock River, and the water shows it. Leaves come down in the fall, pine pollen coats the skimmers in spring, and freezes arrive earlier than they do on the coast. Tidewater Care looks after the water and the equipment so you can use your pool instead of working on it. Every technician is a Certified Pool & Spa Operator (CPO). You get notes and photos before we leave, and we match Essential Care, Signature Care, or Estate Care to the way your family swims.
Why Tidewater Care in Stafford
Tidewater Care is based in Virginia Beach, and Stafford is one of three Northern Virginia towns we take care of, along with Spotsylvania and Fredericksburg. From Garrisonville Road to Aquia Harbour, Embrey Mill, Falmouth, and out toward Hartwood, Stafford yards are full of mature trees. Oak and tulip poplar leaves find their way into skimmers and covers, and a pool under heavy shade needs more attention to the filter and the water than one in open sun. We learn each pool before we change anything. We test first, check the equipment on every visit, and write down what we saw so you can follow the pool's history. We take pools in Stafford when we can keep a regular visit schedule. Tell us where you are and we will say plainly whether we can. Estate Care adds storm check-ins and freeze-night checks for owners who want that extra watch.
Service details
A Care visit. We look over the pool, test the water before we change anything, check the equipment, and do the cleaning for your Care level. Essential Care covers skimming, brushing, and testing. Vacuuming is not part of Essential Care. Signature Care and Estate Care include vacuuming on every visit, and every-other-week visits are available on Signature Care.
Opening and closing. In spring we take the cover off, clear the debris, start the equipment, balance the water, clean the filter, and inspect the equipment. In fall we set the winter water level and chemistry, protect the equipment from a freeze, and put the cover on. A spa that shares the pool equipment is part of the one closing.
Winter watch visits. While the pool is closed, winter watch visits check the cover, the water level under it, and the equipment. Winter watch visits are an add-on for any Care level and are not part of Estate Care.
Filter deep-clean and annual inspection. We open the filter and clean what is inside it, and once a year we review the surface, tile, coping, deck edge, and equipment and take photos you can compare later. If your pool is losing water and you do not know why, we look for the source and write down what we find.
FAQs
When do Stafford pools usually open and close?
We set the dates with you based on the weather and the leaves. Openings can begin in early spring once nights stop dropping to a freeze, and closings are planned around when the trees around your pool start to drop leaves. We would rather close a pool on purpose than rescue one after a freeze.
